Individual Loan Packages for students from
universities nationally need to be warehoused, imaged and retrieved
for legal and credit purposes and re-filed.
Tracking the files as they arrive from various parcel carriers,
sorting them into logical put-away sequence, and putting them away
was a task for this facility. The facility is also tasked with retrieving
them in a timely way for a legal enforcement as well as imaging
(taking electronic photos of each relevant page) them before allowing
them to leave the facility and keeping track of where and when those
originals left possession. The images were needed to be matched
with the originals when returned and re-filed in the storage location
designated by the system
As with most clients, this client had an existing software package
that handled order entry. They needed something that would work
with this system but augment and integrate with it. They also had
a WMS (Warehouse Management System) and handheld RF equipment that
no longer was adequate for the job. They were required to continue
using the current RF equipment but needed the WMS updated to accommodate
the realities and geometrically increased size of their project.
Because of the bi-annual bidding for the government fulfillment
process, they needed a solution quickly to help secure future bids
and within a budget that wouldn’t break the bank if they lost
the project.
