Wichita is home to various Aircraft manufacturers
that include Cessna, Boeing, LearJet/Bombardiar, and Beech/Raytheon.
Alcazar Ltd provided automated and integrated TMS, systems at each
company as well as evaluating and providing cost reduction strategies
for AIM (Airman Information Manual) notification of aircraft notices
to aircraft owners (consistent with FAA regulations).
Alcazar Ltd provided software, hardware and engineering for multi-carrier
integrated systems.
One of the largest of these companies had an interesting “Catch
22”. The evaluation showed convincing ROI of 200% in the first
year. According to the finance department rules however, nothing
could be done in the current year spending for capital investment
if it wasn’t in last year’s budget plan. Leasing was
not an option because all leases were being treated as capital spending
because of the frequency of use to by-pass policy. The savings was
in expense and didn’t offset capital because they were separate
budgets. Because of this “Catch 22”, Alcazar Ltd funded
the project immediately so received most of the return on investment
that would be lost during the 6 months before the project was funded
for next year. Alcazar Ltd also received a post dated Purchase Order
and was paid the following year. Alcazar Ltd received 50% more than
they would have been paid if the delay occurred and the aircraft
manufacturer received 50% more than they would have if financing
had held the order until the next year. Rigid rules require flexible
solutions.

Alcazar Ltd was requested
by an International supplier/manufacturer of sporting/camping equipment,
to solve integration problems between a legacy ERP, a legacy WMS
and the various shipping components so as to act as a fluid and
cohesive single entity.
The client originally hired a custom software engineering company
to write software to create the implementation solutions. After
exceeding the implementation schedule by one year, that software
supplier filed bankruptcy which required our client to hire the
employees of the software company to attempt completion. Alcazar
Ltd replaced the entire work of the custom software and staff with
established systems that were modified to meet expectation (and
exceed them) and the project was completed within five months. Alcazar
Ltd continued to supply post-installation support on the software
updates, hardware maintenance and new functionality requested. |
